What is involved in a 12 day cleanse?
Our 12 day cleanse is designed to help your body eliminate toxins acquired from foods, air and water as well as wastes produced by our normal bodily functions. Over the 12 days we will cut out the big guys: And introduce the essentials to a cleanse: You will be supported on your 12 day journey by the Kundalini House team. Every 1-2 days you will be sent an email to help you along the way. Our team will educate you; inspire you; offer handy tips; share recipes; give support and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback on the facebook event page. We acknowledge that this could be quite challenging for some, but doing it with a group can make such a difference. And besides, it is worth it! The feeling of completing a challenge like this will give you confidence, advocate change and give your body a great gift. I want to join the group, what now? That's fantastic! This cleanse is a milder program which will help to rebuild your gastrointestinal tract and promote a mild liver detoxification. It’s important to exercise while cleansing to support the body to shift out any stagnant energy, encourage circulation and distribute oxygen equally throughout the body. Springtime sun salutations are a wonderful way to support your body through a detox and make way for fresh life force and more energy. Sun Salutations - Daily Yogic Practice As part of this program we are suggesting that you commit to practicing Sun Salutations daily. When practicing sun salutations alongside the detox program, toxins move out of the body at a much faster rate than if you don’t exercise. Sun salutes strengthen and lengthen all the major muscle groups and bring deeper focus to the act of breathing. Each movement is coupled with the breath in a sun salutation. This means we get the chance to really focus on deeply inhaling and exhaling while we move. The benefits of bringing breath consciously into and out of the body are many. The slower and deeper you breathe the more calm you become the mind relaxes. A great way to monitor how you’re feeling during the practice is to notice the breath. If the breath is becoming short and fast, then you may like to slow the practice down so you can maintain a balanced practice that is right for you, your fitness level and how much energy you have on that particular day. Choose from one of the three sun salutation samples provided. The first is a wonderful moving sun salutation to open up the body. The second progresses from that first series with some additional postures you can add for a stronger or longer practice. The third series is a more gentle series for the days you are feeling like you need a more quiet, nurturing practice.
